Police Department

The Highland Police Department is responsible for keeping the city safe and secure and should be contacted by the public to report crimes and any suspicious activities. The office phone number for the police department is 785-442-3212.  For all emergencies call 9-1-1.  At certain times, city officers may not be available, in which case calls may be handled by the Doniphan County Sheriff’s office.  VIN inspections are required for all out of state titles before tags will be issued.
